Try this: At your next kickoff, describe the result you expect and the standard it must meet. Then ask the team how they plan to get there.

with Progress Touchpoints
When review points are clear, you spend less time chasing updates and more time reviewing real progress. Milestones create a structure tha makes performance visible without constant monitoring.
Consider this: Replace repeated follow-up messages with two scheduled progress reviews tied to specific deliverables.
Empower Your Team to Decide
Empowerment works best when it is intentional and visible. When people know they can decide within clear boundaries, momentum improves.
Start Here: Identify one recurring approval that comes to you out of habit. Clarify that it can now move forward without your sign-off.
Share the Context, Not Just the Task
Assigning tasks without context creates dependency. When people understand why the work matters, they make stronger choices on their own.
Next Meeting: Before assigning work, briefly explain how it connects to a larger business priority.
Clarity is a leadership multiplier. It reduces rework, builds trust, and frees you to focus on higher-level priorities instead of chasing updates.
