In a heartfelt show of support for education and community development, UnionBank employee volunteers from Makati CBD region recently visited Manila Science High School along Padre Faura Street in Ermita, Manila, bringing with them not just supplies, but hope.
Led by UnionBank Junior RSOO Elena Sismaet, the initiative was made possible through the generous support of the Bank and the 11 passionate employee volunteers who joined the outreach. The school received a much-needed printer, reams of bond paper, and a variety of essential school supplies to support both students and teachers in their day-to-day activities.
Beyond the classroom, the team also donated tables and chairs for the school’s canteen. This transformed the space into more than just a place to eat—it became a haven where students can relax, connect with one another, and recharge between classes.
The school community expressed deep gratitude for the support, highlighting how the donations would make a lasting difference in the students’ academic journey. The UnionBank volunteers were warmly welcomed and met with heartfelt messages of thanks and appreciation, reflecting the positive impact of their visit and the genuine connection they built with the students and faculty.
Through the Bank’s flagship CSR program, GoBeyond Communities (GBC), the team helped address the school’s most pressing needs by creating a more nurturing space for the country’s future leaders to learn, grow, and thrive.
Go Beyond Communities is more than outreach—it’s a shared journey of uplifting lives, where UnionBankers extend care, inspiration, and lasting impact to schools and communities in need.
