On March 15, 2025, UnionBank took part in the Department of Education’s “Adopt-a-School” program and visited Sen. Claro M. Recto Memorial Integrated School in Lipa City, Batangas, to donate essential supplies such as bond papers and brand-new printers.
This GoBeyond Communities project, led by UnionBank Senior Branch Manager Marilyn Botizon, was a culmination of her team’s efforts and desire to help their community’s educational sector by donating printers and paper essentials.
“It’s been a long time since I was able to initiate a donation drive for schools,” said Marilyn. “It was a really good feeling to contribute and help the faculty members and the students in their future endeavors,” she added.
Marilyn also took the opportunity to promote financial literacy and UnionBank’s class-leading banking solutions to the beneficiaries. She explained, “Given that they are GSIS UMID cardholders, we were able to answer their queries regarding online banking enrollment, UB services, and more.”
UnionBank’s Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability program, GoBeyond Communities, continues to uplift various communities. These projects, often conducted after work hours or on weekends, highlight the genuine desire of employees to touch lives and create lasting improvements for those in need. Through GoBeyond Communities, UnionBank continues to inspire meaningful change in various communities in the Philippines.
