On May 3, 2025, UnionBank demonstrated its commitment to community upliftment through its GoBeyond Communities (GBC) program, bringing a day of joy and essential resources to Laiya Elementary School in Batangas. UnionBank volunteers, led by Michelle Lopez, were at the heart of this heartwarming initiative.
The day began with generous donations of school bags, tumblers, notebooks, pencils, and pens, providing children with vital tools for their studies. Beyond supplies, volunteers orchestrated engaging games, with the balloon relay being a particular favorite, bringing infectious smiles and laughter. Every child received a Certificate of Appreciation for their enthusiastic participation.
A crucial part of the program was the Cybersecurity Awareness Learning Session. Volunteers taught children how to stay safe online in an accessible way, followed by a lively Q&A session where correct answers earned prizes.
This event at Laiya Elementary School perfectly embodies UnionBank’s commitment to its GoBeyond Communities program, empowering employees to make a real difference and enrich the lives of our beneficiaries all over the Philippines.
