UnionBank, AWS conducts Cloud Computing E-learning Session

UnionBank partnered with AWS for a 1-hour e-learning session titled “Introduction to Cloud Computing and AWS” held last Wednesday, May 24.
Over 120 UnionBankers from different branches, departments, and IT specializations gathered to learn from the AWS Experts.
The e-learning session serves as the first of many learning sessions aimed at increasing the Bank’s cloud– skills. It was organized by the Bank’s ULAP Guild (Users, Load, Applications and Platforms) that aims to increase the agility of Cloud adaption, through cloud-capability sessions.
Ms. Hunt also highlighted the benefits of cloud computing, its relation to UnionBank’s financial expertise and how it could improve the bank’s IT Infrastructure, services, and overall customer experience.
“The customers who adopt the modern application development process of AWS allow them to reach the market faster, increase their rate of innovation, and build reliable applications at a reduced cost.” Said Ms. Hunt.
The e-learning session capped off with an insightful Q&A session with Ms. Hunt and AWS Solutions Architect, Sir Doods Cansana, and Senior Organizational Development Manager, Ms. Joanna Romero.
