On October 17, 2025, UnionBank, in partnership with Microsoft, hosted an exclusive learning session and office tour at the Microsoft Office in One Ayala West Tower, Makati City. This immersive experience brought together UnionBankers from the Human Resource Group and the GenAI Committee to deepen their understanding of artificial intelligence (AI), explore its transformative potential, and reinforce the Bank’s strategic partnership with Microsoft.
This event also served as a special recognition for employees who participated in the Copilot launch survey—an initiative that aims to measure AI readiness and maturity of the organization and reflects UnionBank’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
UnionBankers were warmly welcomed by Marian Tolentino, Senior Account Executive at Microsoft, who helped set a collaborative tone for the day.
The program officially opened with a message from Paul Henri Santiago, Senior Solution Engineer for AI Workforce, who emphasized the importance of embracing AI to future-proof the workforce and drive meaningful impact.
The first session, led by Connie Leung, Senior Director and Regional Industry Leader for Asia, provided powerful insights into the evolution of AI in the workforce. She spotlighted industries leading in AI adoption and showcased how AI is reshaping roles, driving efficiency, and unlocking new opportunities for growth—reinforcing our EVP pillar, Upskill U.
UnionBankers then embarked on a guided tour of the Microsoft Office, facilitated by Roji Nulud, Senior Account Technology Strategist. Roji showcased the innovative features of the workspace, offering a glimpse into how Microsoft fosters creativity, collaboration, and productivity through its tech-enabled environment—an inspiring example of The Future is US.
The learning continued with sessions from Annie Lou Ingles, Senior Solution Specialist for AI Business Process, and Paul Henri Santiago, who returned to demonstrate the capabilities of Microsoft Copilot. They highlighted its subscription models and intelligent agents, showing how Copilot empowers employees to work smarter, faster, and with greater impact.
This learning session and office tour was more than just a visit—it was a celebration of UnionBank’s bold vision for the future. UnionBankers engaged in meaningful conversations, explored best practices, and embraced the possibilities of AI to elevate the way they work.
As UnionBank continues to lead the way in NextGen banking, partnerships like this with Microsoft pave the path for a more empowered, agile, and future-ready workforce—living out The Future is US.
