UnionBank Empowers Top Relationship Managers Through ASCEND Masterclass

UnionBank has officially launched its ASCEND program, a strategic initiative aimed at redefining the future of wealth management. The kick-off event was held on Friday, July 25, from 1:00 to 6:00 PM, at the 47th floor, UnionBank Plaza. 

 

The event brought together executives from the Sales Group, faculty from the Institut Européen d’Administration des Affaires (INSEAD), the Employer Branding and Employee Communications team, and members of the UnionBank University (UU) team, who led and made the Masterclass possible. Opening remarks were delivered by Michelle Rubio, UnionBank’s Chief Human Resource Officer, setting the tone for a fun, focused, and forward-looking afternoon. 

 

Designed to cultivate an elite force of Relationship Managers, ASCEND integrates global best practices, advanced tools, and emerging trends. The program welcomed top performers from Wealth and Brokerage Group, Private Banking Group, Relationship Banking Center, Corporate Banking Group, Commercial Banking Group, and UnionBank Financial Services and Insurance Brokerage, Inc. (UFSI).  

At the heart of ASCEND is a robust Masterclass, conceptualized and delivered by the UnionBank University Team, aligning with UnionBank’s broader business objectives. The program focuses on four key pillars: 

 

Future-Proofing the Workforce: Relationship Managers are equipped with global best practices, innovative tools, and insights into emerging trends to ensure they remain competitive in a rapidly evolving financial landscape. 

 

Motivating High Performance: The program incentivizes and rewards top-performing RMs, fostering a culture of excellence and encouraging consistent achievement of sales metrics. 

 

Establishing Market Leadership: Through rigorous capability-building, UnionBank aims to position itself as a premier provider of personalized and sophisticated wealth management services, delivered by highly trained professionals with world-class credentials. 

 

Enhancing Client Relationship Management: RMs are trained in advanced wealth management and financial planning techniques to deepen client engagement and deliver superior service.
