On March 1, 2026, hundreds gathered not just to run, but to take meaningful steps toward a shared cause—helping build safe, affordable homes for families in need. The Habitat for Humanity Fun Run became more than an endurance challenge; it was a powerful display of unity, compassion, and collective action.
Participants from various organizations and communities came together in support of Habitat for Humanity’s mission to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through housing.
Beyond promoting physical wellness, the event served as a platform to raise awareness and generate vital support for programs that uplift families and strengthen communities.
UnionBankers turned out in strong numbers after being encouraged to join the Run for a Cause. UnionBank Identity and Access Manager Team Lead Grace Gallego helped rally colleagues to participate, sharing that she was pleasantly surprised by the strong turnout—a testament to UnionBank’s culture of volunteerism, purpose, and shared responsibility.
For proceeds and impact: Proceeds from the fun run will support housing initiatives, including the construction of safe and sustainable homes for families in calamity-stricken areas. These efforts not only address immediate housing needs but also contribute to long-term community resilience and recovery.
As UnionBank continues to champion employee-led initiatives through Go Beyond Communities, it remains committed to creating lasting impact—one step, one home, and one empowered family at a time.
