UnionBank Hosts Ulympics 2023: A Day of Fun, Team Spirit, and Healthy Competition

Manila, September 2, 2023 — Aboitiz-led UnionBank, a leader in technology and the Philippine banking industry, brought together teams from its BCM Branches and Wealth Branches for the much-anticipated “BCM & Wealth Branches Ulympics 2023.”
The event took place at the GSIS Gymnasium, with participants from various regions, including Ortigas, Makati, Metro Central, Digi BCM and Wealth Branches, BGC, Metro North, QC, Metro East, Metro West, Metro North & Luzon, Manila, and Binondo.
The day kicked off with a vibrant Parade of Colors, showcasing the rich diversity of the participating regions. The highlight of the morning was the highly anticipated Cheerleading competition, where teams displayed their creativity and enthusiasm.
Adding a touch of glamour to the event, participants vied for the title of Best Regional Muse, as they engaged in a friendly battle of talents, beauty, and brains.
The Ulympics sports events followed, promoting healthy competition among the employees. Participants competed in various exciting games, including Patintero, Sack Race, Limbo Rock, and Balloon Relay.
The event concluded on a high note with an awarding ceremony led by UnionBank’s Senior Vice President and Customer Experience Designer, Ron Batisan, and UBP Region Service Operations Officer, Joyce Ancheta.
Awards were presented to the outstanding teams and individuals who excelled in the various competitions, celebrating their dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The winners of the Ulympics were announced as follows:
