Living out our purpose of Reimagining Banking to Uplift Lives, UnionBank once again brought its culture of care and service to the forefront through this year’s annual bloodletting program. With strong participation from UnionBankers, the initiative successfully met its target number of donors—demonstrating the purpose-drivenaction continues to thrive within our community.

“As we continue this annual bloodletting initiative, we are truly grateful for the unwavering support of our UnionBankers,” shared Jayson Gabion, UnionBank Employee Relations Lead. “Their strong participation once again enabled us to meet our target number of successful donors. More than the numbers, this reflects the strong spirit of volunteerism and community service across the organization—proof that our people genuinely care and are always ready to uplift lives.”

As a gesture of appreciation, all successful donors received UB Gold collar pins and button pins, symbolizing their contribution to a life‑saving cause. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with participants expressing heartfelt appreciation for the tokens—simple yet meaningful  reminders of their commitment to helping others.

According to Jayson, one of the most impactful aspects of the program was the opportunity to personally connect with donors. These conversations offered valuable insights into what drives UnionBankers to give back, highlighting a shared sense of responsibility, empathy, and Ubuntu–the belief that “I am because we are.”
